National Paints NATCOOL Series is a range of heat-reflective polyester powder coatings developed to reduce surface temperatures of architectural components exposed to direct sunlight. Utilizing advanced IR-reflective pigments, NATCOOL coatings minimize solar heat absorption, enhancing energy efficiency and interior comfort. These coatings are ideal for applications in hot climates, significantly reducing energy consumption and mitigating the urban heat island effect. NATCOOL is available in both Architectural and Superdurable technologies, with a wide variety of colors and finishes.

POWDER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Chemistry             :  Polyester
  • Particle size          :  60% above 32-micron sieve (suitable for electrostatic spraying)
  • Specific gravity    :   1.20 – 1.60
  • Curing schedule  :  200 ˚C / 10–15 Min & 190 ˚C / 15–20 Min (metal temp.)
  • Storage                  :   Dry, cool, ventilation conditions below 33˚C
  • Shelf life                :   12 months

APPLICATION AREA:

NATCOOL Series is recommended for exterior architectural applications where components are exposed to direct sunlight. These include; window and door frames, handrails, curtain walls, metal roofs and wall panels, louvers and shutters, generator room enclosures, light façades, and other metal structures. The coating significantly improves energy efficiency and comfort in buildings located in hot and sunny climates.
